2025/26 Board — dedicated community members guiding our mission.
Leslie Mitton — Chair · HR Consultant — Ontario native with nearly 30 years in B.C., residing in East Vancouver. Has extensive previous board experience. Career focused on human resources, currently operating her own practice specializing in organizational people programs. Active lifestyle includes running, cycling, and walking.
Elizabeth Magai — Treasurer · Business Admin / Accountant — Vancouver resident for over 20 years in Mount Pleasant. Master's degree in Accountancy with two decades of accounting experience across public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Recently transitioned to nonprofit work and is launching a financial coaching business. Enjoys yoga, reading, and time with her dog Pugsley.
Rachel Woo — Director · Community Business Project Consultant — Recent UBC graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Management from the Sauder School of Business (2025). Works as Homeowner Care Administrator in real estate. Connected with MPFCS through community business project work supporting fundraising initiatives.
Alexandra Chu — Director · Ecommerce and Digital Marketing Professional — Mother of two young children and Director of Digital Merchandising at Mountain Equipment Company. A regular MPFCS visitor who deeply appreciates its welcoming environment. Has four years of nonprofit board experience. Enjoys neighbourhood walks and sports with her family.
Lauren Florko — Secretary · Organizational Development Professional — Aunt to 17 nieces and nephews. Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology; owns Triple Threat Consulting focused on employee engagement. Previously Vice President of CoRe Conflict Resolution Society. Mountain hiking and ocean biking enthusiast.
Haley Hunt-Brondwin — Director · New Media Designer — Works with small businesses and arts organizations as a New Media Designer and Communications Manager. Has attended the Family Centre Drop-in since 2022 when her daughter was one year old. Deeply grateful for the staff support and community connections the Centre has provided.
