Celebrating Culture and Community at the 14th Annual Nikkei Matsuri
— September 25, 2026 — Throughout September 4th to 6th, an estimated 12,000 festival-goers soaked in the traditions of the Mikoshi parade, joined in the community Bon-dancing, and enjoyed delicious offerings from 25 food booths as well as 14 merchandise booths.

Preserving History: The Uyeda Family Digitization Project
— February 25, 2025 — Spanning from the 1930s to the 2010s, the Uyeda Family of Nakusp Collection captures the experiences of Yonezo and Yukiye Uyeda and their four children, Masayuki, Teruko, Atsushi, and Michiyo, who were born and raised in New Westminster in the 1920s and 1930s. The family lived in New Westminster until the onset of the Second World War when they were forcibly relocated first to Kaslo, then to New Denver, and finally settled in Nakusp after the war, having been prevented from returning to New Westminster.
