Our rooms

Rates and capacities from our 2026 rate card. Capacity is the largest set-up; ask us for theatre, banquet or boardroom layouts.

Hayashi Hall — Our Special Events Hall has a high ceiling with high windows on the east side, and a window from the second-level landing that looks into the hall. Suited to wedding receptions, conferences, trade shows, exhibitions, celebrations of life and anything else you can dream up. No kitchen. For catered events, add the Community Kitchen.
Ellipse Lobby — A curved lobby with a high ceiling and natural light — a romantic setting for small receptions, art displays, small exhibits or a day trade show. Its two pillars, a Hinoki cypress and a Western red cedar, stand for Japan and Canada. No kitchen.
Intergenerational Room (#105) — Equipped with a small kitchen — ideal for lectures, workshops, baby showers and birthday parties. High-speed wireless for conference calls. Small residential-style kitchen.
Community Kitchen — All catered events in Hayashi Hall add the Community Kitchen. A full community kitchen — add it to a hall booking for catered events.
Matsu Room (#201) — A carpeted room with plenty of natural light through its glass wall, overlooking the Ellipse Lobby with a glimpse of the garden. Perfect for smaller board meetings, birthday parties and baby showers. Kitchenette.
Tsubaki Room (#200) — Decorated with historical pictures from the museum’s archives — an ideal space for boardroom meetings, strata AGMs and other small gatherings. No kitchen.
Kaede Room (#210) — On the second floor, with a small piano and spotlights — well suited to small wedding receptions and boardroom meetings, and its acoustics suit a small choir or karaoke class. No kitchen.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is included.

After-hours bookings (before 9:00 AM or after 10:00 PM) and statutory holidays carry a staffing surcharge of $52.00/hour + tax — ask us; they are booked with staff, not online.

For groups over 320 guests, chairs must be rented from an outside company at the client’s expense.

AV equipment for rent (+ tax): hall speaker & microphone $150, projector & screen $150, portable speaker & microphone $80, portable projector $80, projector screen $40, TV monitor $80.

Rates are in effect January 1 to December 31, 2026 and are subject to change.
